New Year, New Blog

Happy new year folks! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a great New Year’s. I have a feeling that this is going to be a good year for the conservative movement. I’m very optimistic that if we follow our constitutional values once more we will be able to restore this great nation. We may have lost the election but we have not lost the war for America’s principles. If we stand together and keep our faith in God then we will win the war to keep this nation’s values strong and secure.

I wanted to let you know that I have a new blog site up and running called The Whitfield Report

This site will no longer function as my commentary blog. The Whitfield Report is the new home for my written articles and columns due to the fact that the blog feed is easier for me to distribute and deploy across platforms. This means that the blog experience on an iPad, iPhone, Android device, etc will be vastly improved and you’ll now also be able to get the articles and columns delivered straight to your email inbox. (More details soon to come on the newsletter). If you visit The Whitfield Report on an iPad, iPhone, or any other mobile device listed above, you’ll find that the blog has been optimized for your smartphone/tablet with tons of cool features. You can even add the blog to your home screen and launch it as a fully optimized web app.

Please continue to use this site as a resource to contact me, find links to my other sites, contact me, and receive updates about Next GEN Conservative and myself.

I’m also pleased to announce that today is Next GEN Conservative’s 1 year anniversary and I’d like to thank my executive partners Trevor Johnson (co-founder), Gregory Blackie (partner & board member) for helping to make this first year awesome and helping to advance the Conservative message we’ve been spreading since I started my political commentator career back in March of 2008. We’ve all come a long way since then with a total of 9 staff members and counting as well as many fellow Young Conservatives as allies.

2013 is here and it’s going to be a great year for Conservatives! God Bless and Happy New Year!

–Sam.

Obama’s epic fail and the #MSM reaction

I don’t know about you guys, but I couldn’t believe how bad Obama lost the debate. There’s no other way to say this but… ROMNEY OPENED UP A CAN OF WHOOP-@$$ on Obama.

At one point during the debate, Obama looked like a dog with his tail in between his legs. He was clearly unprepared. He kept stuttering and grasping for words. He has become so dependent on his teleprompter that he can hardly speak without one. I’d also like to bring up the fact that no one challenged him the way Romney did on Wednesday night.

Obama was so bad that even the liberal MSM had to admit that Romney won. I hope he can keep this momentum up. We can win and we will!

A prediction I know I’m already right about: The Debates & Obama

I am going to make a prediction that I already know I’m right about. Obama will lie during the debates. How do I know this prediction will come true? Because we have heard nothing but lies from Obama since he took office in 2009. Here’s how Obama’s debate  repertoire will go: the moderator will ask a question about the economy. Obama will make up some grand lie about how the stimulus package almost brought our economy back and how he has put American’s back to  work. He will use false figures to back up his claims. Romney should and will use actual facts and figures to discredit the president’s lies. After Romney counteracts Obama, the president will do his best to shift the blame to the Republican Party and demonize George Bush once more.

The same tactic is true with health care. Obama will lie about how successful Obamacare has been. He will say that Obamacare has already saved us money and will continue to do so. He will completely ignore any facts brought up by Romney about how Obama care will increase the cost of health care for Americans. He will ignore facts brought up about the constitutionality of Obamacare, and hide behind the ruling of justice John Roberts. He will either deny or dismiss complaints brought up by various religions claiming Obamacare  violates their religious liberties.

These are just two examples of the many issues Obama will lie about during the debates.  The debates will be a measuring tool as to how good  a liar Obama really is. I pray that my fellow  citizens see-through Obama’s lies.

Finally, you may ask: “why will Obama lie during the debates?” The answer is quite simple.

If Obama told us the truth about his disgraced presidency over the last four years, almost no one would vote for him.

My top 5 reasons for voting out Obama in November.

As many of my followers and fans know, I have great respect for Hugh Hewitt.

Hewitt recently put together a list of 100 reasons to vote against Obama on Election Day. He spent all three hours of his radio show going over the list on Monday night. This gave me an idea to do a list of my own with the main difference being that I only haver 5 reasons on my list. Here they are with a brief explanation for each:

1. The economy that Obama promised to fix has actually worsened dramatically and it shows no signs of improving while he remains president.

2. Obamacare (which the vast majority of us did not want), was forced down our throats anyway. Obamacare violates our rights and disregards The Constitution by forcing businesses and individuals to buy into a system that is overpriced and ineffective. The mandate also violates religious freedoms by forcing catholic churches and other religious organizations to provide items and services that are against their faith.

3. Obama treats our allies like our enemies and vice versa. This has actully been amazing to watch. He has refused to meet with the prime minister of Israel multiple times while meeting with countries like Iran and Russia who seek our destruction. Not only does he welcome them, he has also apologized for American Exceptionalism. That’s just wrong.

4. Obama has downright lied to the American People on everything from government transparency all the way to border security.

5. Obama wants to fundamentally change who we are as a country. This is a man who stands against the very essence of our founders. He is ashamed of our greatness and feels that it is no longer appropriate. In my mind, this makes him a threat to liberty and freedom. This reason alone is why he must fail and lose the election.

Conservative 2.0: social media’s effect on the conservative movement and why it is so critical to everything we do!

Last Sunday evening I had the opportunity to speak with Tamara Jackson on my radio show. Tamara is an active blogger and user of social media networks for the Conservative Cause. Her website is read by hundreds of conservatives on a daily basis. (www.tribblenews.com) She is an avid tweeter and Facebook user. She encourages all those in the conservative movement to engage in social media actively. Since early 2010, I have been spreading the exact same message. For the Conservatives to win, it is critical that we use social media to our advantage. Social media consists of multiple elements such as blogs, podcasts, Twitter,  Facebook, etc.

You may be reading this and asking yourself “why is social media so important as a conservative?” This is a question that many people have asked me over the years and I believe I have finally formulated a definite answer.

In 2008, Barack Obama’s campaign launched one of the most  effective strategies to win an election… They used social media. The Obama’s campaign launched their own social network for supporters to be involved and connect with each other. Barack Obama also had an active Facebook account and was receiving fans daily. Twitter also played a major part in winning the 2008 election. Meanwhile Sen. John McCain’s campaign was lagging behind in the social media craze. The campaign was still sending out letters by mail, making boring campaign calls, and spending way too much money on television advertising which people skip through anyway. John McCain’s campaign was outdated and ineffective. Can simply failed to connect with  people in the technology demographic, and therefore lost the election.

In 2009, Conservatives got smart! Not only was the tea party  successful in driving the conservative movement, the Conservatives also took over social media. Ordinary everyday conservatives suddenly became well-known bloggers and journalists, Conservative home-grown radio shows were taking over the podcastsphere. Even teenage conservatives such as myself have become feared among the liberal establishment and we’re not going anywhere. This my friends, is what I call the Conservative 2.o Movement. People now trust the independent voice of conservative 2.0  to get their news and more importantly the truth. The mainstream media hates us. They hate us because they know we are more effective than they are. And they have tried to destroy bloggers such as Andrew Brietbart, Matt Drudge, my friend Hugh Hewitt and others. They have not and will not succeed. Viewership of mainstream news networks such as CBS, ABC, and NBC, has dropped to an all-time low.

Bottom line, The Conservative 2.o Movement is here and we are more powerful and more journalistic than the #MSM (mainstream media) which has been hijacked by the radical left, ever will be!

Paul Ryan: just what Romney needs!

In my last column, one of the points I made was that Mitt Romney  would need a strong conservative running mate to counter the liberal BS. The day after I wrote my column, Paul Ryan was announced as the VP pick for Mitt Romney. I didn’t know much about Ryan, but after reading more about him I like what I have found.

First of all, he is a grassroots Conservative who understands the values of The Constitution as it was written by our Founding Fathers. He understands that big government is the problem and that government reduction is the solution.

Ryan is also well-known for working to reduce government spending. He has made it clear that fiscal responsibility is one of his top priorities. In fact, Ryan’s fiscal responsibility policy has even impressed individuals on the far left, such as Bill Clinton’s Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles who is also the head of Obama’s deficit reduction commission. Here’s what he had to say about Paul Ryan

Have any of you all met Paul Ryan? We should get him to come to the university. I’m telling you, this
guy is amazing. I always thought I was okay at arithmetic, this guy can run circles around me. And he is honest, he is straightforward, he is sincere. And the budget he came forward with is just like Paul Ryan. It is a sensible, straightforward, honest, serious budget, and it cut the budget deficit, just like we did, by $4 trillion. The president came out with his own plan. And, the president as you remember, came out with a budget. And I don’t think anybody took that budget very seriously. The Senate voted against it 97-to-nothing.

This is a case of a man who may not like Ryan, but respects him and appreciates Ryan’s knowledge on fiscal budgets.

The thing that I most admire about Ryan, is his ability to stand at the mainstream media and other liberal scumbags who have lied and cheated in order to destroy him and Romney. He is not mean about it, but still calls them out on their crap. An example of this is when he dismissed two hecklers at the Iowa State fair. He didn’t yell at them, but rather pointed out their ignorance and unruly behavior.

The Obama campaign came out with an attack ad which stated that “Ryan is too conservative”. Several newspapers including The Denver Post,  stated that “Romney picked a radical choice”.

The left is afraid of Paul Ryan! There is no denying it.

I used to fear that Romney would lose the election. I was praying that Romney’s VP would be a strong grassroots Tea Party Conservative. My prayers were answered with Paul Ryan! I am now confident that Romney can win the election. The election won’t be easy to win, but Romney can win with Ryan at his side. We will take back The White House!

It’s time for the GOP to grow some Cajónes

If other Conservatives reading this are anything like me, they are sick and tired of watching the GOP struggle day by day to keep up with Obama’s attack strategy. Even more than that, Conservatives are afraid of what another four years of an Obama presidency could look like.

Obama’s first (and hopefully last) presidential term has been a downward spiral that continues to get worse as time goes on. Government spending is still out of control, the stimulus packages did not work, and Obama signed a healthcare bill into law that few Americans wanted and will be unaffordable and ineffective for the majority of us. These are just a few examples of what happened in the last three and a half years under Barack Obama. I shudder to think what four more would bring.

Mitt Romney’s campaign has done a good job of illustrating why he would be a good president as opposed to Barack Obama. Romney’s message about believing in America is extremely refreshing to most Americans. Romney himself as doing a good job of being aggressive towards Obama’s unruly presidency. Romney has tackled Obama well on issues such as the economy, Obamacare, and foreign policy. However I feel the Romney campaign has done a poor job of responding to Obama’s misleading attacks towards him. Obama’s lies about Bain Capital, Romney’s foreign bank accounts, and other miscellaneous lies have been discredited by even some of the major liberal newspapers. (Washington Post).

I have not seen Romney or the GOP take advantage of this when they clearly should. I feel that this would help Romney gain more support if he discredited Obama’s comments towards him in public and in more TV ads.

Obama himself is still recovering from his “if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that” comments that he made a few weeks ago. Romney himself has done a great job of responding to Obama’s comments, but I can’t say the same for the GOP or Romney’s ad managers. I feel that they have done a poor job of counteracting Obama’s comments when it comes to Obama’s real opinions about small business among other things.

They have remained too civil in a game of dirty politics. I admire their wishes to take the higher ground, but it is really not working anymore. The Liberals are mocking them and laughing at them and they are able to get away with it! If the moderates in the GOP would just grow a pair, the election would be much easier for Romney to win! The gloves have to come off! We can no longer play nice with these people. The RNC and the GOP have to hold them the same impossible standard that they hold conservatives to. Conservative commentators such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and myself cannot be the only ones to fight their bull aggressively anymore. The GOP must do this too. If the GOP does this, Romney’s chances of winning the election are almost certain in my opinion. If they don’t, Romney has a very high chance of losing the election.

The GOP has a very simple choice folks, either stand up to Obama and win or continue to shy away from him and increase the chances of a loss.

We can win if we stand up. It’s that simple.
